The Norfolk Baseball Association is a volunteer dependent organization. There would not be a league without the help and dedication from our community! As a parent, we have a responsibility to support our kids, managers and baseball community to make this season as enjoyable as possible for everyone. The following explains the League's volunteer requirements.
From T-Ball through Majors, every registered player must have someone who will help out with the many positions involved in running our league. A volunteer is required to complete one volunteer opportunity over the course of the season per registered child. A $50 volunteer fee was included in the registration process for all A, AA, AAA, and Major’s player registrations. This fee will be refunded to registrants that satisfy their volunteer obligation(s). Alternatively, you may elect to "opt-out" of your volunteer requirement by contacting the Volunteer Coordinator directly, which will result in a forfeiture of your volunteer fee. We, of course, prefer your help!
There are many roles that will help you satisfy your volunteer requirement this season. This list is meant to provide a few of the many volunteer opportunities at Norfolk Baseball.
Similar to last year, we will be using a volunteer platform on Signupgenious.com. This will be used for scheduling, to display booked and available volunteer slots, as well as managing completed volunteer events.
